Veronika Dash - New York/Los Angeles
 
 



Veronika Dash was born on October 28th in Kiev, Ukraine.

Veronika grew up in New York and revealed her love for performing at a young age. She was victorious in numerous storytelling contests, participated in all her school productions, and was a part of the Drama Club since the second grade. She loved dressing up in her mother’s most lavish apparel, putting on her jewelry & make up and saying to her parents “I’m going to be a Hollywood star!” She is extremely close with her family who has been her support system from the very beginning.

She landed her first big lead in the school production of The King and I where she played a British schoolteacher named Anna. She majored in performing arts and was a member of the Borough President’s chorus. She was accepted to a specialized high school where she excelled despite her rigorous schedule and involvement in extracurricular activities. In between her homework and SAT prep class, Veronika participated in weekly workshops for an entire year to prepare her for an International Talent competition. Not only did she win Junior Actor of the year but, she also got called back by many agents and managers in New York and LA.

Veronika signed with Seth Greenky at age 16 and knew he would guide her to success. She has recently landed a co-star role in the feature film “Cadillac Records” and signed with an agency, Carry Company, in Los Angeles.

   
 


In addition to receiving scholarship to study acting at Pace University, Veronika attended weekly classes at Total Theatre Lab and began private coaching with Caroline Thomas. Her on-camera classes at Penny Templeton studios helped her to use the acting skills she had and combine it with technique involving the camera. Veronika was accepted to the USC School of theatre in Los Angeles where she currently studies.

Veronika always loved learning and has been a straight A student receiving awards for Academic excellence, National honor roll, Principals list, National Honor Society, and Deans list.

One of her hobbies aside from performing is writing. Her love and talent for writing could be seen through her several awards including Editors Choice Award-International Library of Poets, Staten Island Tech Essay Scholarship Award , Pace University Journalism award, the David A. Bickerman Academy of American Poets Prize and most recently the Excellence in Research Awards for her essay “Women in Modern Theatre: An Ethnodrama.”

Veronika also enjoys reading, art, traveling, going to galleries and plays, running on the beach, and buying anything that is pink. She loves laughing and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite quote is by the 18th century French philosopher Denis Diderot said, “Only passions, great passions can elevate the soul to great things.”

She dreams of one day winning an Oscar for Best actress in a lead role. She is already working on her acceptance speech.
